We are a small, independent brand dedicated to creating handmade hair elastics crafted from premium silk. Our mission is to offer high-quality, hair-friendly accessories that combine simplicity, comfort, and an elegant style.

How It All Started

Silk by Ancuta began in a small apartment, with a sewing machine, a love for natural fabrics, and a simple idea:
To create something beautiful and gentle for the hair.

I always searched for accessories that were soft, elegant, and hair-friendly. Most were either too tight, too stiff, or made from synthetic materials that only damaged the hair. So I started sewing my own scrunchies from premium silk, and I fell in love with the process.

What started as a personal project turned into a growing passion. I made pieces for myself, then for friends, and soon after, Silk by Ancuta was born.
